Fishers of Hope

Subtitled Taweret, Fishers of Hope was Lara Foot's first play set beyond South Africa's borders, drawn from research in a fishing village near Kisumu, Kenya. Told through her signature blend of physical theatre, soundscape and magical realism, it explores the toll of environmental and social change on a family and community. The production won four awards at the Naledi Theatre Awards, including Best Production of a Play.
