About the Show
Adapted by Lara Foot from Zakes Mda's acclaimed novel, Ways of Dying follows Toloki, an eccentric and dignified professional mourner, who reunites with his childhood friend Noria at her son's funeral. As they fall in love and build a life together in a shack settlement on the fringes of an unnamed South African city, each teaches the other how to heal and how to live amid the chaos of the nation's transitional period.
